SMB Software Pricing Index
What 15 home-services software vendors actually publish, captured on the first of every month since August 1, 2026. Free to download and reuse with attribution.
What the data shows
No vendor changed its published pricing. All 14 vendors tracked in both captures were byte-identical — same tier names, same prices, same billing periods. A flat period is a real observation, and we report it rather than waiting for a month with a story in it.
| Vendor | Change | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Workiz | New to the index | First observation — not comparable to the prior period |
A finding that is easy to miss
Of 15 vendors, only 10 publish a price you can read without talking to sales. 2 publish a plan structure with every number removed (FieldPulse, Workiz) — 3 publish nothing at all. We keep those three states distinct rather than collapsing them into "no pricing", because a vendor moving between them is itself the finding.
Method
- Vendor pricing pages are captured directly on the first of each month and archived unedited. Snapshots are append-only and are never rewritten.
- Captures respect
robots.txtand a 10-second per-host delay. - A failed capture is recorded as a failure. It is never recorded as "no public pricing" — that distinction is the difference between a dataset and a guess.
- Prices are as published, in the vendor's own currency and billing period, with no normalisation, discounting or seat-count assumptions applied.
Limitations — read these before citing
- The series is 2 captures long. That is enough to report month-over-month movement and not nearly enough to describe a trend. Do not annualise it.
- This tracks published list pricing only. It says nothing about what anyone actually pays — discounts, annual commitments and negotiated rates are invisible to it, and for the enterprise-tier vendors that gap is probably large.
- Vendor selection is our editorial judgment about the home-services software market, not a statistical sample. It is not exhaustive and is not weighted by market share.
- Where a vendor hides prices we record that state, but we cannot tell you why it changed.
