How we verify pricing and build our guides
Most software roundups quote prices from memory, other blogs, or nowhere at all. We built our research process so that every factual claim on this site can be traced to a source — and so you can tell when it can't.
Where our pricing data comes from
Every price, plan name, and free-trial claim in our guides is extracted directly from the vendor's own published pricing page, using automated collection tools that we run on a recurring schedule. Each extraction is stored with the date it was collected, and every guide displays that date alongside its pricing ("as of …").
When a vendor doesn't publish pricing — many enterprise tools gate it behind a sales call — we say "Custom Quote Required." We never estimate, average other people's guesses, or fill the gap with a plausible-sounding number.
How guides are produced and audited
AutonomiaLabs uses AI-assisted research and drafting, supervised by humans, with a multi-stage audit process that every guide must pass before it is published:
- Source-bound drafting. Writing tools are restricted to the verified vendor data collected above — a claim that isn't in the source data isn't allowed into a draft.
- Automated fact-audit. Every dollar figure in a draft is checked, character for character, against the source data. Drafts with unverifiable numbers, features attributed to the wrong product, or claims about the wrong industry are rejected and rewritten.
- Independent quality review. A separate audit pass evaluates each guide for accuracy and usefulness before publication, and sampled guides receive additional human-supervised review.
Rejected drafts do not get published with a warning label — they get fixed or discarded.
How we make money — and what it can't buy
Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you sign up for a product through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Compensation never influences the order in which products are displayed or whether we recommend them. Editorial conclusions are drawn from the data first; monetization is applied afterwards. Corrections
Vendors change pricing without notice. If you spot a number that no longer matches a vendor's published pricing, we want to know — and our recurring data collection is designed to catch changes and trigger updates to affected guides. Each guide's "Updated" date reflects its most recent verified revision.
